Gas suppliers compared on price, offer transparency, customer service and commitments. Ranking scored out of 100 according to our methodology.

- TotalEnergies and Engie bet on the breadth of their range and their network; ekWateur positions itself on green gas and biomethane.
- Most indexed offers display a -5 to -15 % discount on the CRE reference price; switching supplier is free and without interruption.
- ⚠️ Prices and subsidies change — request several quotes and check your eligibility.
Since the end of regulated gas sale tariffs (June 2023), all offers are market offers: to find your way, the Energy Regulation Commission (CRE) publishes each month a « reference price » that serves as a benchmark to compare fixed-price contracts and indexed offers. Behind tariffs that seem close, the gaps lie in the price structure, the tariff zone, the share of green gas and the quality of service. This comparison is an editorial ranking scored out of 100 according to an identical grid for all suppliers, to help you choose based on your consumption profile.

Frequently asked questions
How to choose your gas supplier?
First compare the price of the subscription and the variable per-kWh share according to your consumption and your tariff zone, then the type of offer (fixed price or indexed on the CRE benchmark), the transparency of the price grids and the customer service. Our « Price » criterion accounts for 30 % of the score.
Fixed price or indexed price: which to choose?
A fixed-price offer secures the price of the kWh for a defined period, useful during a rise. An indexed offer follows the monthly reference price published by the CRE, often with a discount of -5 to -15 %, and can be more advantageous for heavy consumers. The right choice depends on your profile and your risk aversion.
Are green gas offers really eco-friendly?
So-called green offers most often rely on guarantees of origin or the injection of biomethane into the network. Check the exact nature of the commitment in the supplier's terms.
Can you switch supplier easily?
Yes. Switching gas supplier is free, without a duration commitment on most offers and without interruption. The old contract is terminated automatically when the new one is taken out.
